On our Secret Food Tour: San Antonio, you'll discover a picturesque foodie oasis that winds its way through the heart of Texas' second largest city.

Our experienced guides will take you on a foodie adventure through bustling Downtown San Antonio, an area steeped in more than 300 years of history and heritage! On your journey, you'll sample an array of handmade hispanic specialties at family-owned businesses and see where the locals eat while avoiding chain restaurants and tourist traps. Throughout the experience, you'll learn firsthand what "Tex-Mex" actually is while enjoying it in the city in which it originated while also being enchanted by local landmarks such as San Fernando Cathedral, the River Walk, and the Alamo along the way. In fact, we're pretty sure that you'll remember more than that storied building by the time your journey is complete!

Food will be served with water when available. Or if you prefer, a thoughtfully curated Upgraded Drinks Package is available for purchase.

  • We'll begin on historic Houston Street, right in the middle of San Antonio's thriving theater district.
  • First up, you'll start your day like the locals do with a beautiful Mexican sweet bread known as a "concha" at the city's most popular panaderia.
  • Next, you'll savor a delicious local taco favorite served on a warm handmade tortilla at a family-owned taqueria.
  • After which, you'll discover a unique twist on our beloved "bean burger" at the city's #1 burger joint. .
  • Now it's time to walk off some calories as we pass by some of our breathtaking architectural gems such as San Fernando Cathedral and the Bexar County Courthouse.
  • Of course, no visit to San Antonio would be complete without taking time to explore the enchanting River Walk, Texas' #1 tourist attraction.
  • Alongside the river, you'll experience culinary fusion at its finest as you enjoy a slice of piping hot pizza topped with Mexican street corn, avocado, and perfectly cooked flank steak.
  • And finally, it's time to cool down with a scoop of handmade sorbet or gelato as we make our way to our city's most memorable monument - the Alamo!

All the delicious food and drinks mentioned above, but if you want more alcohol (and who doesn't?) we offer an upgraded drinks package that gives you a Mexican hot chocolate, a local craft beer, and a refreshing cocktail.

I am traveling with my family, is the tour ok for infants/children?

Children are more than welcome to our tour if of an appropriate age to enjoy.

I don't drink alcohol. Can I book your tour?

This is not a problem. Just inform our guide before the tour starts. During the tasting you can select another beverage you like.

Is there enough food during your tour?

Our tours provide our customers with a lot of food. Trust us, you will not need to eat a meal after our food tour!

Can i get a discount

If you are a group of 11 people, then you can email us, we will be more than happy to give you a discount.

Where do I add my discount voucher?

I would like to take your tour but it is already fully booked. Is there a way I can do the tour?

Our tours are often sold out very quickly. If the date you requested is not available, please do not hesitate to email us and we can see if there is anything we can do.

Is there a lot of walking?

To join our food tour, you must wear comfortable shoes. There will be around 42 minutes of walking but it's not too difficult and there are no hills or stairs. If you walk slowly, then our guide will walk slowly as well.

How many people max are on this tour?

We take 15 people maximum. If you are more than 11 people, please do not hesitate to email us and will try to see if we can accommodate.

I cannot find a way to print the confirmation. Is it OK if I have it on my phone?

You do not have to print your voucher, a confirmation on your phone will be fine.

If I purchase a voucher as a gift, or am given a voucher how long is it valid for?

All of our vouchers expire one year from the date of purchase.

Can I choose my own cheese and meat?

Our guide will take care of everything. Should you wish to try something special, please inform our guide and they will do their best to make you happy.

Where does your food come from?

We work with small shops and family owned businesses in the downtown area. The food and drink we buy is top-quality, fresh and local!

What if it rains or I change my plans?

Fortunately, the weather is predictable in San Diego. We do not issue refunds as per our terms and conditions. We also inform you that we never cancel a booking even if we only have 2 people! However we do reserve the right to cancel the tour if we feel the weather is extreme, and we cannot run the tour due to this. Can I pay the tour in cash?

You must book directly on our website. We do not accept cash payments. Our online payment is safe, secured and SSL protected.

Why do we need to pay for booking fee?

The booking fee that you have to pay is set by our ticketing provider.

Foreign Transaction Fees

FEESA few banks have charged their customers an extra fee while booking with us (this isn't the booking fee but another fee added by the bank). We think this is unfair, if this happens let us know by showing us in your bank statement and we will refund this fee as a gesture of good will.
