Chris our tour guide provided a nice balance of Scottsdale Old Town history and the local restaurants information.  The stops to have a taste of the local food was great!

Christopher was a top notch tour guide. He was constantly giving us tips on great places to eat and explained the history of the town as well. We ate some delicious treats. Especially liked the Green Chile Cheese Crisp!

We spent a fun day exploring Old Town Scottsdale and several wonderful restaurants with Christopher of Secret Food Tours. Christopher was friendly and professional as our tour guide. He was very knowledgeable and was a joy to be around. Even though I have been to Old Town many times, this was the first time I had been to these restaurants. The food and service were excellent. There is plenty of food! You walk from restaurant to restaurant, so please bring comfortable shoes.

Christopher was an awesome tour guide....interesting and engaging really enjoyed his commentary....loved the first stop at mexican restaurant...also loved the the sugar bowl chocolate malt....indigenous restaurant was not my favorite but hey ya can't please everybody....highly recommend this tour

"An Absolutely Fantastic Food Tour with Christopher!
I can’t say enough good things about this walking food tour in Scottsdale! Christopher was an amazing guide who made the entire experience memorable. He has an incredible knowledge of the area’s history and peppered our walk with fascinating fun facts that kept everyone engaged throughout.
What really set Christopher apart was his ability to keep things interesting and his talent for connecting with the group. He could easily converse on so many different topics, making everyone feel included in the conversation. It never felt like a scripted tour - just a wonderful afternoon exploring Scottsdale with someone who genuinely loves what they do.
The food stops were excellent, but honestly, Christopher’s enthusiasm and expertise elevated the whole experience. I’m already planning to tell all my friends about this tour. "Our only regret is that we didn’t sign up for this Tour earlier in our weeklong visit to Scottsdale. Our guide Christopher was outstanding and extremely knowledgeable about the history of the area and was clearly also very passionate and eligible about food. He was a Lance or mini off the cuff questions even about things that weren’t directly related to the content of our tour. There were a few items that were unique to the Arizona food scene as well as several items that were just pretty typical and could be found many different places around the country.
We had a total of about 12 people on our tour, which was maybe a little bit too many but it was still manageable. We walked a total of 6 miles during our four hour tour."

This tour was a great experience!  We should have booked it at the beginning of our stay rather than at the end!  Please don't make that mistake.  Chris has so much valuable information on the local food scene that we could never have known other than on this tour.  We check reviews very closely when we travel, so I felt we were making great choices as far as food goes, but getting the scoop from a local is invaluable and we never would have known about some of the places Chris took us to.  They were low key, with delicious food and really reasonably priced, unlike the majority of Scottsdale eateries.  Also, it was a nice, long tour, 3 hours at least and we were not rushed in any way, which gave us time to spread out our tastings.  Chris gave us a lot of history and background about the city and surrounding areas as well as stories about the local restaurants we went to and others that he recommended for future meals.  The price was well worth it and I highly recommend that you experience this tour.
